My IE and Firexfox are infected with Sweetpacks. Home page is now showing the Sweetpacks search and is redirected to http://search.sweetpacks.com. The Sweetpacks toolbar that is installed on my browser shows pop-up advertisements from time-to-time. How can I get rid of it?
What is Sweetpacks?
Sweetpacks is an adware program, which is promoted via other free downloads, and once installed it will add to your browser the Sweetpacks Toolbar, change your homepage to start.sweetpacks.com and set your browser default search engine to search.sweetpacks.com.Sweetpacks search will display advertisements and sponsored links in your search results, and may collect search terms from your search queries.
Sweetpacks program usually comes bundled with some freeware from the internet. When you download and install those free things you may also agree to install Sweetpacks toolbar and change your browser settings as it mentioned above.
Sweetpacks can corrupts all your browsers including Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox. Once installed, you will find that your browser homepage, default search engine changed. This misleading program performs no good things to your computer, you should remove it as quickly as possible before further damage occurs.

Scroll down to find Sweetpacks Toolbar related programs. Click Uninstal or Remove and then Next to uninstall it.
* Internet Explorer
1 Open Internet Explorer, click on the gear icon , then click on Internet Options.
2 In the Internet Options dialog box, click on the Advanced tab, then click on the Reset button.
3 In the Reset Internet Explorer settings section, check the Delete personal settings box, then click on Reset.
* Mozilla Firefox

2 Click the Reset Firefox button in the upper-right corner of the Troubleshooting Information page.
3 Then click Reset Firefox in the confirmation window that opens.Firefox will close and be reset.
* Google Chrome
1 To do this, you need to open your Google Chrome->Wrench Icon->Tools->Extensions->Unclick the Enabled to disable Sweetpacks Toolbar related extensions, then click the Bin button to remove them.
In the Extensions tab, remove (by clicking on the Recycle Bin) SweetIM for Facebook,New Tab 2.0, Sweetpacks Chrome Extensions and any other unknown extensions from Google Chrome.
2 Set Google Chrome default search engine from search.sweetpacks.com<) to Google. Click the Chrome menu button, then select Settings and click on Manage search engines in the Search section.In the Search Engines dialog that appears, select Google and click the Make Default button that appears in the row.
Search for search.sweetpacks.com in the Search Engines list, and click the X button that appears at the end of the row.
3 Change Google Chrome homepage from start.sweetpacks.com< to its default.
