step 1

Uninstall Sweet-page.com and related elements, such as sweet page from your computer.

 
• For Windows 8, open the Start screen, type Uninstall and then go to Settings. In the search results, go to Uninstall a program.
 
• For Windows 7 and Vista, open the Start menu and navigate to Control Panel then Programs and then Uninstall a Program
 
• For Windows XP, open the Start menu and navigate to Control Panel then Add or Remove Programs
 

 
Please find and select to uninstall items related to Sweet Page search. If you find more elements related to Sweet Page, please make sure to remove or uninstall them all. If you can not find those mentioned items, please ignore the step and move forward.
 
Please note that, the malicious applications is rarely listed as Sweet-page.com or Sweet Page in the currently installed programs list. Please check carefully and try to remember what software you installed recently. Please make sure to remove them all. If you miss one of the malicious elements, you will still experience the same problem.
 
 

step 2

Remove Sweet-page.com homepage and “Sweet Page search” engines from IE/FF/Chrome.

 

Remove Sweet-page.com redirect and Sweet Page browser hijacker from in Google Chrome:

 
1. Please open your browser, go to Google Chrome Settings, in the “On Startup” area, please click on Set pages.
 

 
You will be forwarded to Startup pages, in this page, please click on the X button to delete http://sweet-page.com.

 

 
2. Please continue and go to Appearance area, and then click Change.
 

 
Remove http://sweet-page.com from the Open this page tab and then Select Use the New Tab page and click OK to save changes.

 

 

3. You should move forward and go to Search area, click on Manage Search Engines…
 

 
Select Google or any other search engine you like from the list and make it your default search engine provider, and then select do-search from the list and remove it by clicking the “X” mark as shown in the image below.
 

 
4. Please close your Google Chrome, right click on the shortcut on desktop and startup menu, in the drop-down menu, please select Properties.
 
In Shortcut tab, please remove “http://sweet-page.com….” from the Target field and click OK to save changes. Basically, there should be only the path to Chrome executable file. Nothing more.
 

 

Important Notice: If you have pinned the Google Chrome shortcut icon on your task bar, please delete it and re-pin.

 
 
Remove Sweet-page.com redirect and Sweet Page browser hijacker from in Firefox:
 
1. Open Mozilla Firefox. Go to Tools > Options, Under the General tab reset the startup homepage to Google.com or as blank page.
 

 
2. Reset changed items of your Firefox.
 
Type about:config into the address bar> Press Enter;
 

 
Accept the Warning message by click “I’ll be careful, I promise!” to continue.
 

 
Search for Sweet Page and Sweet-page in the search bar >Right click on each item and select Reset> Hit OK to apply the change.
 

 
3. Right-click on the Mozilla Firefox on desktop and startup menu, in the drop-down menu, please select Properties.
 
In Shortcut tab and remove “http://sweet-page.com….” from the Target field and click OK to save changes. Basically, there should be only the path to Firefox executable file.
 

 
Important Notice: If you have pinned the Firefox shortcut icon on your task bar, please delete it and re-pin.

    Thanks sooo much for this! I’ve spent the last hour searching for a solution and this is the first one who mentioned removing the extra bit in the target on properties. And it worked.
    Although I’m still fighting to get rid of it on IE. Hopefully it’ll be gone after I restart the computer after I’ve run the Anvi browser repair tool.
    But anyway, two out of three is good enough for me so far. Gonna save this page for friends who get sweet-page on their computers as well.

    I got rid of it when i open chrome with the shortcut on my desktop, but when i use the shortcut on my taskbar at the bottom it still opens the sweetpage.. any idea where the sweetpage settings for that may be?

      All the same, you should repair the shortcut that on your taskbar. As I mentioned in the article “If you have pinned the chrome shortcut icon on your task bar, please delete it and re-pin.” To repin the shortcut in the taskbar, please find the installation location of your web browser, find the chrome.exe, right click on it and then select “Pin to Taskbar”

      What web browser do you use and what’s your operating system?

      You can simply delete the shortcut icon on your desktop, startup menu, and task bar, and then repin it. Then your problem will be solved.

    i really hate this sweetpage… I did try to uninstall of my programs (windows 7) but somehow it wont delete even my computer says the uninstall process was done… i did try to do it manually on IE FF and chrome and thought i deleted the sweetpage virus but when i turned on my computer and opened FF and chrome… There was still a sweetpage thing on my browsers… what do you think should i do?
