What is Flipora Search?

The Flipora Search is a potentially unwanted program (PUP). It refers to the program which is unwanted, despite the possibility that users consented to download it. It is promoted through free software. In the sight of marketing companies, the necessary information related to PUP are declared in download protocols. But, most users may be inadvertent in reading what they are downloading and installing.

The Flipora Search hijacks your default browser. Whenever you launch the browser, the homepage is redirected to static.flipora.com. And then, Flipora Search appears on the computer screen. At the first sight, it looks like the legit search engine Google engine. In the reality, it is just addressed as a legit engine to entrap users to use it.

Is the Flipora safe?

Just like other browser hijackers, Flipora Search hijacks the search results which may contain some malicious websites, sponsored links, annoying advertisements, and even other dangerous viruses, changes the default settings and homepage of browsers, causes online traffic for its network sites, and slows down the infected computers. More appalling, a Flipora Facebook app may be installed and posted on the Facebook Wall on your behalf. Once you install that extremely invasive application, it can record your browsing history, activities and even the activities of your friends on Facebook. Once the Flipora Facebook app gets the permission to access your email address, public profile and so on, it is very dangerous to lose your personal data, such as credit card number, bank account, password etc.

This unwanted program propagates through e-mail attachments, shared files, pornographic webpages or free software downloads. When users install free software bundled with that virus, they originally have a chance to refuse the malicious program. But users may skip some installation steps because of rushing. If you unfortunately get infected with the potentially unwanted program, it is strongly recommended you get rid of it as soon as possible.
