  5. I have edited every instance of this thing from my registry there was no entry of it in control panel so I removed every program I installed in the last month including all new windows updates even though this only showed up in the last 3 days. I removed firefox, there are no add-ons running in IE, none installed at all in fact and even my home page is set to msn but dosearches still comes up. I have used several antivirus software programs over the last 2 days and several malware removal tools and it’s still in my browser. my next step is to edit IE out of my registry. Since I hate wiping the computer there has to be another little corner of the computer this thing has learned to hide itself in, does anyone have any new information?

  6. I see you didn’t want the response to go to another website that gives you a cleaner for your short cuts and that this thing is attached to the icon in your quick links tool bar added to your site so i’ll just urge everyone that is here to search for dosearches override in google…..

    • Yes, you get the point.

For each browser, repairing the shortcut icon is very important measure to prevent the dosearches.com hijacker coming back again.
